Every woman aged 21 to 65, whether insured or uninsured, can participate in the "Cervical Cancer Screening" Program, as long as she has a Greek Social Security Number (AMKA), without charge (free of charge) .
Exceptions to control
The cervical cancer screening program excludes women who:
- have had a partial or total hysterectomy due to cancer
- have been diagnosed with cervical cancer type C 53.0, 1, 8, 9,
- have been diagnosed with uterine body cancer type C 54.0, C 55.0,
- have performed a PAP-TEST examination, during the three (3) calendar years preceding the entry into force of the invitation to participate,
- if they belong to the age sub-group between twenty-one (21) and twenty-nine (29) years old and have performed an HPV-DNA TEST during the three (3) calendar years preceding the entry into force of the invitation to participate
- as long as they belong to the age sub-group between thirty (30) and sixty-five (65) years old and have carried out an HPV-DNA TEST during the five (5) calendar years preceding the entry into force of the invitation to participate.
